Black Belt Scholarship Program
Martial Arts training improves self confidence, leadership, honesty, courage, focus and many other positive life skills! Vision Martial Arts Center is teaming up with local businesses and charities to provide scholarship funds for at risk / underprivileged kids in the community who could really benefit from the family atmosphere of VMAC.
Our first partners are the Collin County Children’s Advocacy Center – long time on the list of charitable organizations VMAC helps (we do annual Kick-a-Thons to raise money for them) and the Hayes and Gregory families
VMAC will match any funds donated by businesses or individuals - so YES you, as a VMAC parent or student, can sponsor a child as well – and we’ll do our part. We also provide a Black Belt mentor to help the child make it through the training process.
We’ll be publishing progress reports and success stories in the newsletter and on the web site, so everyone can watch the kids blossom! This is a super worthwhile endeavor and any and all contributors, one time or ongoing, are welcome. Contributors will be highlighted on the web site, particularly corporate sponsors, as they wish.
